Web and Mobile Application for audit management

Mobile app

The client initially requested a mobile application that would allow the team to manage different activities in the audit area.

We develop a mobile app that has all the functionalities of the web application but with the use of specialized components for its better management through the different mobile platforms. It contains a notification system, the ability to upload and download files from iOS or Android.

The website has a dashboard system that allows filters to be applied through a dynamic table, which allows us to display the information in different ways as the user wishes. Creation of assignments and tasks, schedules for auditors that allow audit managers to have a more optimal organization for their subordinates.

UX/UI Design

In the Initial stage of the project we worked on the UX/UI design, we took the decision to design the mobile app interface first, we did the appropriate user research to improve the app experience and make the interface as intuitive as possible.

We created the wireframes on paper, then in digital format with the purpose of sharing them with the client and receiving their feedback.

After making some improvements requested by the client and incorporating new ideas that emerged during the process, we made a high-fidelity prototype that was approved by the client.

Main challenges

  • Use of current technologies that would allow the mobile application to be used on different operating systems without any type of difficulty or complication.

  • Provide a workflow that speeds up the audit activities that are normally carried out, in this way, even with little interaction, the user can obtain a large part of the process automatically.


  • We decided to use the following technologies: Expo, a set of tools, libraries and services which allow the development of native iOS and Android apps written in JavaScript; Typescript for being a scalable and secure language. This allowed us to have the necessary code to avoid having problems when using these tools in the different operating systems.

  • Thanks to the interaction with the user that provided us with detailed current flows of the processes handled in their operations, it was possible to automatically streamline some of the points in that flow to prevent the user from having to perform actions that could easily be done without interaction. Which results in optimization of time, processes with less tendency to errors and with more optimal decision making.

Final results

  • A functional system that allows the creation of assignments and tasks, the generation of reports automatically according to the fulfillment of certain parameters, action plans that allow the audited user to have knowledge of the steps to follow in the audits related to him and to be able to interact with the auditors to address any queries through a timeline with comments on each assignment.


  • Creation of weekly or daily schedules for auditors: allows the best organization of personnel by assigning the corresponding tasks.


  • Task scheduling, which allows assigning the specific tasks to be carried out, places and times so that, according to the scheduled time, the auditors who are in that place and coincide with the time are automatically assigned, allowing to streamline the direct assignment process.


  • Statistics in the form of graphs that allow filters in the form of a dynamic table so that the user can interact with all the available information fields.


  • Risk matrix that shows a panorama of risks and probabilities of the tasks that are currently being carried out, the results can be reviewed by departments, users or locations. With the objective of prioritizing or attacking problems according to the current level of risk.
